Vanessa Cross has become the newest member to join the TLC family after appearing on shows like Too Large and 1000 Lb Best Friends. In fact, she is currently starring in the latter with her friend, Meghan Crumpler. According to the latest episode, the celebrity got hit with a ton of heavy news. TV Season & Spoilers points out that it happened during her appointment with the well-known Dr. Charles Procter. In the new episode, she went to him for an update about her weight. Initially, she came clean about going off her diet and wished for the doctor to take her “back”.
Later, the celebrity doctor gave her some words of wisdom by saying she needs to prove things to “herself” and not him. For that, the new star needs to be in the “right headspace”. Then, he expressed that their goal is to get her to weigh less than 400 lbs, so she qualifies for bariatric surgery. First, Vanessa came to Too Large weighing 446 Lbs, and shed it to 427 Lbs. However, after she relapsed, she was 441.6 Lbs as per the scale in the clinic.
1000 Lb Best Friends: Dr. Procter Says Vanessa Doesn’t Have Long To Live!
After her weight was revealed in the episode, the TV star got a bit emotional. That’s because she couldn’t help but think about the time her grandpa and mother lost their lives at 51. Like Cross, they also went through obesity. As she is now 41 years old, she realized having only seven years to live. However, Dr. Procter ended up dropping another truth bomb. That’s because he told the cast member if she doesn’t make a change soon, terrible things could happen before that.
Hence, he urged her to take this as a sign of a “wake-up call”. As far as her surgery was concerned, Procter claimed she was nowhere “near” to qualifying.
