Sony’s Venom was quite a hit among fans. Soon after receiving those blockbuster numbers, Sony started developing the sequel of the same- Venom 2. Things were on track, but this sudden Coronavirus outbreak has pulled breaks on all projects. So, clearly, this movie could not remain unaffected. What’s The New Name?
The post-credit scenes of the original Venom teased the possibility of inclusion of Carnage. Then, the sequel of the movie was announced. Now, Venom 2 is officially titled as Venom 2: Let There Be Carnage. This title confirms that Carnage will be there as the main villain in the movie. This fulfills the promise that post-credit scenes of Venom made.
Many fans wanted the title to be Maximum Carnage in reference to the character’s very famed story from the Marvel Comics. However, Let There Be Carnage is playing on Kasady’s comments in the original movie. Plus, it has Carnage there. This promises that two things are coming in the sequel- 1. Carnage is the main villain, 2. There will be a lot of Chaos throughout.
Venom 2: Let There Be Carnage: Do We Know The Cast?
In Venom 2: Let There Be Carnage we will most certainly see Tom Hardy reprising his role as Eddie Brock. Woodly Harrelson will also come back as Cletus Cassady, also known as Carnage. The sequel will also star Michelle Williams as Anne Weying, Naomi Harries as Shriek, and Stephen Graham in a yet unknown role. The rumors have it that Tom Holland could make a cameo in the sequel as Spider-Man.
Venom 2: Let There Be Carnage Release Date
Now that the new title of the Venom 2 is out, the release date of the sequel has changed too, The movie which was supposed to release in October 2020, will now release on June 25, 2021. Along with this, Sony also released an official logo od the sequel. One can really consider as the first marketing element. However, we won’t get to see the trailer until the end of this year.

Now what we have to see is, how much Carnage’s story from the comics will be the part of Venom 2: Let There Be Carnage. Apart from the title, all the fans have high hopes with the sequel. The production isn’t hiding that Kasady will be the villain. That means that he will have considerable footage in the sequel.
