Don’t get fooled out when the day comes. But Shazam! sequel got a release date. The sophomore run of superhero fun is scheduled to be out on April 1, 2022, by Warner Bros. Pictures. The announcement for the sequel came via The Hollywood Reporter journalist Borys Kit. He shared the news on his official Twitter handle. The first Shazam! movie also premiered in April 2019 only. Shazam! 2 will release just one week before Sony’s Spider-Man: Into The Spider-Verse sequel and one month before Marvel’s Black Panther 2. Along with Shazam! 2, the standalone Flash movie got a release date for July 1, 2022.
Warner Bros. lately scheduled quite a lot of DCEU movies for the upcoming years. The list includes Birds of Prey for February 7, 2020, Wonder Woman 1984 for June 5, 2020, The Batman for June 5, 2021, The Suicide Squad for August 6, 2021, Black Adam for December 22, 2021, and Aquaman 2 for December 16, 2022.
Shazam 2: Cast Returning
In the debut, Shazam! movie, Zachary Levi portrayed the best version of Billy Batson’s superhero counterpart. And, Asher Angel and Zachery Levi are all set to return to their characters for the sequel. Meanwhile, according to the mid-credit scene, Dr. Thaddeus Sivana will return to give some hard time to Shazam. Therefore, Mark Strong will definitely return for the sequel as well.

For the second movie, fans are hoping to see Black Adam against Shazam. Black Adam has been the most powerful arch-nemesis of Shazam from comics. Although, as per the reports, Black Adam-Shazam’s storyline would not come up by the third Shazam movie.
Although lately, director David F. Sandberg revealed some major news for the Shazam fans. He is planning on having an entire Shazam Family in the sequel. According to him, “It feels like we could do more with the Shazam family. We just introduced them, but you could explore how they work as a family of heroes.”
All this came from the end of the first movie, where Billy used the Wizard Shazam’s staff to share his enhancing powers with his foster siblings. This resulted in all of them being all Shazamed. The siblings included Mary Bromfield, Freddy Freeman, Eugene Choi, Pedro Peña, and Darla Dudley.
