Matrix 4: Lana Wachowski is set to direct
For the upcoming movie, Lana Wachowski has been picked to write and direct. Also, Aleksandar Hemon and David Mitchell will co-write along with Lana. Warner Bros. Pictures and Village Roadshow Pictures will produce and globally produce the next installment of the fan-favorite movie series.
The renewal announcement of new Matrix chapter came in through Warner Bros. Picture Group chairman Toby Emmerich. Not just this, she also praised and welcomed Lana to join the movie. As Toby stated, “We could not be more excited to be re-entering The Matrix with Lana. She is a true visionary — a singular and original creative filmmaker — and we are thrilled that she is writing, directing, and producing this new chapter in The Matrix universe.” Lana nad her sister Lily also directed the previous all three Matrix movies.
Warner Bros. Had Plans For Matrix 4 From Long
The last Matrix movie of the trilogy, The Matrix Revolutions premiered in 2003. And since then, the fans of the sci-fi just stayed by rewatching the trilogy till Warner Bros, again started discussing the movie series. Since the last couple of years, Warner Bros. has been trying to make way for another movie from The Matrix Universe. However, some legal issues came in.
In some recent time, the studio saw some opportunity to work on the next film. Also, Keanu Reeves now have some time-slot vacant, as his mega-blockbuster John Wick 3 and Toy Story 4 had dit cinemas this summer. Now, Matrix 4 is finally and officially in working. And fans are eager to know every single update on that.
Matrix 4: Lead Cast Returning
From the original movie trilogy, Keanu Reeves and Carrie Ann-Moss are returning to reprise their roles as Neo and Trinity respectively. However, there is still quite an uncertainty for the part of Morpheus. In the trilogy, Laurence Fishburne played that classic role, who lead the entire Matrix world. The fourth movie of the Matrix Universe is just in its pre-production phase. Also, as per the sources, the film will likely delve in the filming at the top of 2020. Therefore, the audience needs to have some patience as the forthcoming Matrix installment will take some time. Possibly 2020 or 2021 will be the presumable time-zone for the premiere of Matrix 4.
