You are not supposed to make any sound. The frightful blind creatures from post-apocalypse are coming back in A Quiet Place Part 2. Last year’s one of the best science fiction horror movie A Quiet Place has received the renewal for its sequel. Since the release of the first movie, the fans have been longing to hear this renewal news.
A Quiet Place is a post-apocalyptic sci-fi movie of Paramount Pictures, starred and directed by John Krasinski. He also co-wrote the first movie, along with Bryan Woods and Scott Beck. The movie sets up the Abbott family in the future where horrific creatures have the acute sensitivity to the noise. A Quiet Place was one of the best-reviewed and most-grossing film of 2018, which earned $340 million worldwide.
The debut movie received critical acclaim from the critics and the audience as well. However, it succeeded in establishing John Krasinski as a rising director. The film also received many nominations and awards, including Critic’s Choice Movie Awards for the best Sci-Fi movie and Satellite Awards for Best Sound Editing and Mixing. A Quiet Place also featured in Top ten films of the year in American Film Institute Awards and National Board of Review.

The production work for the second part of horror science-fiction started yesterday only. The news came in by director John Krasinski’s official twitter handle. Though The Buffalo News also confirmed the beginning of the shooting for A Quiet Place Part 2. There were some pictures revealed, showing some storefronts in Akron, New York changing the setup for the movie. There was an older looking Radio SHack inserted, to reflect the post-apocalyptic world of the film.

A Quiet Place Part II: Cast Updates
In the first movie, John’s character Lee Abbott, died. Therefore, he is definitely not returning in front of the big screen but will be present behind it. Other than him, reel and real-life wife Emily Blunt is returning for the sequel as Evelyn Abbott. Also, the couple’s kids Regan Abbott (played by Millicent Simmonds) and Marcus Abbott (played by Noah Jupe) will return to tackle the terrific alien creatures.
The second part will also have some add-ons to the cast. Peaky Blinders star Cillian Murphy has joined the sequel, as per The Wrap’s reports. There are also speculations that Brian Tyree Henry is also going to join the film for its second run.
John Krasinski Had No Plans For ‘A Quiet Place Part 2’
In a conversation with The New York Times back in January, the star, writer and director of the movie admitted that he did not want a sequel. According to him, He did not wish A Quiet Place to turn into an action movie where 400 people have machine guns.
Though he also stated that he would love to direct again if he can crack the idea for the sequel. However, he later confirmed that he’s been working on writing the script for the sequel since last fall. And his name is also appearing as a director on the photo he uploaded. Therefore, it is clear that he took up the position as the director for the sequel.
A Quiet Place Part 2: Premiere Date
The production work for the sequel has kicked off. Now the audience just needs to wait for its mega premiere. A Quiet Place Part 2 is scheduled to release in March 2020. However, an official confirmation is yet to arrive by Paramount Pictures.
