General Hospital: Soap Opera fans are the kind of audience that doesn’t usually hold back anything. When they love something, you just know it. But when they don’t like something, you know it too. That is what is happening at General Hospital right now.
Recently, General Hospital Executive Producer- Frank Valentini took onto Twitter to make a rather cryptic tweet where he said, “Romance is in the air for quite a few people!” He tagged General Hospital and used the hashtag #GH to indicate that this was about the soap.
It looks like the EP was planning to tease that many romantic storylines are coming up on the soap in the upcoming days. However, the fans aren’t happy with the ongoing storylines. As soon as Valentini posted this tweet, fans started commenting. They told him how unhappy they were with the ongoing storylines.
One storyline that fans seem to hate the most is Sonny and Nina storyline. The two of them are being pushed together, and they don’t seem to like it. Another possible pairing that General Hospital seems to be hinting at is a romance between Carly and Drew. This is another pair that fans aren’t happy with. Carly and Sonny are a legacy couple who have been through too much together. So, ever since General Hospital started playing with this, fans did not seem to like it.
Some comments got so harsh; a fan asked Valentini if he even watches his own damn show. They say that there has been no romance there. They even pointed out that it is likely that their idea of romance is very different than the show. Another comment said that this fan had watched the latest GH episode, and they saw “NOmance”! The fan says that Frank must be watching the old episodes and is getting confused.
Whatever the case might be, it is clear that fans aren’t really liking this storyline and are eager for it to end. Nina and Sonny have been inching closer to a romance for some time now. How will General Hospital play it out? Are you enjoying it? What is a storyline you really want to see get played on General Hospital? Tell us in the comments below.
