The latest General Hospital spoilers suggest that fans must gear up to see a new face on Port Charles soon. According to a report from soap opera digest, actor Réal Andrews who plays Marcus Taggert, is taking a temporary leave from the soap opera.
Actor Asante Jones will step into Andrews’ shoes around mid-December. Sadly we don’t know why the actor is leaving or how long will he be gone. Back in December 2019, Andrews had gone through surgery for cancer at Providence Holy Cross Medical Center in L.A., California. He posted a picture on November 21 from his gym, looking very healthy.
As for Asante Jones, this stint as Marcus Taggert will be a big appearance. He has only played the role of a tour guide on The Young and the Restless back in 2015. Recently Julian told Cyrus that Taggert is alive, so when Jones steps in, it will be a race for most people to protect Taggert. More importantly, it will be a race for Taggert to protect his loved ones from Renault.
It will be very interesting to see what Asante brings to the table while Andrews is gone in General Hospital. We do hope that Andrews is in good health and will come back soon. What do you think about this recast? Are you happy? Tell us in the comments below.
