But now, he might change sides as he came to know that his father betrayed him and all his promises were fake. He is inside Meliodas only because he needs a new and strong body. Therefore in the next episode, it is possible that Zeldris might change sides and team up with the Sins in order to defeat the Demon King.
The father of Meliodas finally realized that Ban is the real deal and finally got serious in The Seven Deadly Sins Season 5 Episode 12.
