The mighty Wonder Woman is back! DC Universe is all set to continue its success chain with stand-alone star movies. After back to back smashes of Wonder Woman and Aquaman, the sequel Wonder Woman 1984 is ready to become DCEU’s next grand success. This will be Wonder Woman 2 of the movie series, and the fourth film in total to feature the great Amazonian Super-heroine.
Wonder Woman is a superhero movie based on the DC comics character. The star of the film, the Amazonian Princess, Diana Prince a.k.a. Gal Gadot plays Wonder Woman. In the first movie, Wonder Woman emerged to stop World War I. She believed that the dispute was initiated by the amazon’s longtime enemy, Ares. Warner Bros. Pictures distribute the film, and Patty Jenkins directed and wrote it along with Geoff Johns and David Callaham.
The audience saw the exemplary Wonder Woman for the first time in Batman vs. Superman: Dawn of Justice where she helped our dark superhero, Batman. Then Wonder Woman movie saw her story as the magnificent savior for the American army against the German platoon during World War I. After that, she ganged up with the DC Universe’s most powerful superheroes in Justice League to save the world from the catastrophic threat of Steppenwolf and his army of Parademons.

Wonder Woman After 70 Years:
As the title of the sequel suggests, “Wonder Woman 1984,” the movie would take place in the 1984 timeline. The sequel is set way before any events of Justice League and any other DCEU’s movie. The film is taking almost 70 years time-leap from the previous Wonder Woman Movie. However, according to sources Wonder Woman 1984 will prominently ignore the backstory set out for Diana Prince in both Batman vs. Superman and Justice League.
Will Steve Trevor Return in 1984?
The fans must be wondering how Steve Trevor will return in the next movie. His airplane blasted in the air because of a bomb. But apparently, the movie is following the comics, and anyone can die and revive in the comic world. According to reports, Chris Pine will return in the sequel movie. Even his first look from Wonder Woman 2 was released by Patty Jenkins where he looks like a healthy stand-up man dressed in 80s style.

The comic saw various variations of Cheetah till now. Though, the movie will continue with the comic’s third and current Cheetah, who first appeared in 2011.
