Roloff farm has been one of the most popular tourist destinations in Oregon. However, they remain closed amid the pandemic. Even though Matt Roloff thinks that there is going to be a pumpkin season this fall, there is some uncertainty about whether the farm will survive the pandemic or not.
Roloff Farms Closed Since March
As the pandemic struck the entire world, it caused catastrophic damages, especially to the tourism industry. Unfortunately, Little People Big World star Matt Roloff seemed to be worried about whether the farm will survive the pandemic. The governor of Oregon has been loosening the restrictions lately. However, Roloff farms still remain closed.
Amy still has ownership of the farmland. However, Matt is the one responsible for the operations on the farm. Due to the lack of tourists this year, the Roloff family is likely to have suffered some pretty major losses. A major portion of their yearly income comes during the pumpkin season.
The family has chosen to remain hopeful that the farm will be in full operation by fall. The Roloff family patriarch has also stated that the prices will spike to almost double the standard rate to recover for the losses incurred during the pandemic.
Little People Big World: Matt Wants The Farm To Stay Within the Family
According to Matt, the farm should stay in the family. He stated that no one can run the entire thing as well as he does. But he is open to letting his sons Zach and Jeremy take over the farm while he spends more time with his grandchildren.
He might also enjoy some relaxed days in his Arizona home which he plans on living in with his girlfriend Caryn Chandler. Even though Zach and Jeremy seem to be keen on buying the farm, they don’t seem to be in the financial position to do so.
Little People Big World: Matt and Caryn Host Socially Distant Party
Matt and Caryn hosted a party inviting six of their close friends. As the restrictions loosened, they thought it would be a good idea to host a small party with friends. Of course, the couple followed all the social distancing guidelines. They wore full-face visors and even spread plastic sheets on the table.
They all were sitting together, keeping in mind to maintain a sufficient distance between them. Most fans applauded them for following social distancing rules even though they were all hanging out together.
