1000 Lb Sisters: Amy Receives Siblings’ Support For The Decluttering Session!
In an exclusive clip posted by Realtor.com, Amy Slaton tried to clean her cluttered home. While sorting through her house, she came to terms with her home’s clutter and revealed what contributed to her hoarding habits. In Tuesday’s episode of 1000 Lb Sisters, she started with a dining room where a chair was buried under a pile of boxes and bags.
Amy also found a pair of shoes stacked on the top of a safe sitting on a side table. She recruited Chris Combs and Tammy to carry out “a good old-fashioned spring-cleaning” to clear the clutter. With Amy’s kids growing fast, she explained that her boys have outgrown clothes and toys faster than light speed.
As Chris arrived with plastic bins for sorting, Amy tossed a box into a large red trailer parked outside. The kids’ room, filled with toys, clothes, and other random things, became the first target. Upon filling the trailer, Amy acknowledged that hoarding tendencies run in their family. She pointed out that her mother and grandmother struggled with similar issues with their belongings.
However, Amy was determined to break free from the cycle as she hoped her siblings will help her in the process. While she trief to declutter items, she repeatedly placed items, like a sports jersey and a ride-on toy into the “keep” pile despite agreeing to declutter.
