Is The Village Vicar Leaving Emmerdale?
Charles Anderson star Kevin Mathurin spilled some details about his Emmerdale filming schedule, prompting questions about his future on the show during Monday’s Lorraine. The actor joined guest host Ranvir Singh to talk about an emotional upcoming storyline for his reel family.
Next week, the vicar’s son, Ethan Anderson, suddenly collapses and is left fighting for his life after a recent injury. The scene features Manpreet Sharma desperately trying to revive him as his father, Charles, fears the worst. This came after Ethan was deliberately hurt in a hit-and-run.
During Monday’s Lorraine, Kevin hinted at an emotional Emmerdale storyline. However, before the interview, he accidentally mentioned a filming detail to the host. Regarding which the host questioned, “Now, Kevin, when you came into the studio earlier.”
He continued, “I said: ‘Are you busy this week?’ and you said: ‘No, not until Thursday!’ I said: ‘Well, why have you got loads of time off from filming, what does that mean for your character?” The Emmerdale star made it clear that it has nothing to do with his character.
With a big smile, he added that Ranvir was trying to get him to spill some secrets, but he wasn’t going to say a thing. Nevertheless, Ranvir didn’t let it drop and pointed out that the Emmerdale scenes featured on TV were filmed eight weeks ago. Kevin explained that they always film weeks ahead.
Ranvir then speculated that if there was a quiet period of filming now, it might mean something would happen to Charles’ character in the next eight weeks. Kevin insisted that this was not the case. He shared that he is just an actor taking some time off. What do you think? Is he telling the truth? Or is the village vicar leaving in the coming weeks? Drop your opinion below.
