Prince Harry: The Duke Won’t See King Charles
Prince Harry might not meet his dad, all thanks to the Monarch’s busy schedule. And get this: King Charles has been back in the public eye after fighting cancer. He recently had an audience at Buckingham Palace with the Prime Minister of Fiji, Sitiveni Rabuka. Moreover, Buckingham Palace is also gearing up for its first garden party of the season. We’re still in the dark about the people attending from the royal family.
Earlier, Prince Harry jetted back to the U.K. to celebrate the 10th anniversary of the Invictus Games. The event kicked off in London a decade ago and celebrates injured and sick service personnel and veterans. Moreover, the bash includes a panel discussion and a service at St. Paul’s Cathedral. The royal will read a poem while Homeland actor Damian Lewis recites the Invictus poem. This isn’t the royal’s first trip back since news of Charles’ cancer.
In February, Prince Harry made a short trip from California for a brief private chat at Clarence House. He expressed gratitude about seeing his family during his chat with Good Morning America. Furthermore, the Duke commented on whether Charles’ health scare could bring the family closer. He said, “Throughout all these families, I see it on a day-to-day basis, the strength of the family unit coming together.”
The royal also talked about other planned trips to the U.K. Harry added, “I’ll stop in and see my family as much as I can.” Prince Harry and Meghan, who now call California home, don’t visit the U.K. much. They don’t often make trips across the pond to visit family. Also, the Sussexes will head to Nigeria after Harry’s U.K. trip. They have reportedly accepted an invitation from the Chief of Defense Staff.
We’ll just have to wait and see when Harry finally reunites with his dad and brother for good! Until then, keep an eye on TV Season & Spoilers to catch the latest royal scoops!
