EastEnders: Kirsty Gets Emotional Ahead of Exit
The poor condition of Britney’s life didn’t sit well with Whitney, and she took matters into her own hands at EastEnders. The woman clashed with Keeley, who happily paid her to take Britney off her hands. Cut to the present, Keeley has arrived in Albert Square with Kirsty getting so much kindness and support from Patsy and James. The actress took her Instagram to write a sweet message for the duo.
The EastEnders star wrote a heart-touching message alongside a photo of herself with James and Patsy at Walford East. She wrote, “When you get to work with these legends! 🎬💫🙏🏻 @patsypalmerofficial @jamescfarrar❤️. Additionally, Curtis thanked James for being a cheerleader and mentor since day one on the BBC One soap. That’s not all! She expressed her excitement upon finally working with the Zack Hudson actor.
Now it’s time for the EastEnders legend. Kirsty hailed Patsy as a queen and icon. “Still can’t believe I got to make my debut alongside your comeback, couldn’t have asked for a better first ep!” She recounted how people used to call her ‘Bianca’ and ‘RICKAY’ for being a redhead. Kirsty admitted to loving every single second of her time with Pasty on the sets. She wrapped up, “Do not want it to end! 🥹.” Aww.
Whitney’s Time Comes to a Close
Anyway, this storyline will eventually lead to Shona McGarty’s departure from EastEnders after over fifteen years of playing Whitney Dean. And let us tell you, it was a tough call for Shona to leave the Square. She said, “It’s all I’ve ever known. I pretty much grew up on the Square, so I feel like I’m leaving home.” Furthermore, the soap icon explained that she wanted to explore other opportunities in the industry before feeling too old.
McGarty is grateful for the experience and acknowledges that all good things must come to an end. Such departures are always bittersweet for fans, but that is what makes them special and memorable, too. Here’s hoping we’ll see these talented ladies return to our screens soon.
