Danny Miller Opens Up About His Character’s Future In Emmerdale
Emmerdale star Danny Miller returned to the Dales only to be titled as the ‘problematic’ character. Considering his character Aaron Dingel’s behavior, fans were demanding an exit for him. Did the makers finally hear their wishes? Recently, actor Danny Miller expressed his worries about being written off.
Last week, Chas Dingle discovered that the root of her breast cancer is a defective BRCA2 gene. As a result, Aaron, Cain, and Caleb Miligan all got their tests done. In the next week of Emmerdale, the medical tests are finally out. Unfortunately, Aaron tests positive, but he chooses to lie to his mum about the report.
In a recent press conference, Miller confessed to having concerns regarding his character’s fate. He shared that he found the BRCA2 gene plot compelling and relatively unexplored. According to the actor, his first reaction was, ‘Oh no, I’ve just moved to Leeds, please don’t kill me off!’
However, he recognised the potential of portraying characters cursed by everlasting misfortune. The Emmerdale star revealed, “I think I kind of knew what they were going to say when they said it, that the three of them take the test. I said: ‘It’s me that gets it, isn’t it?”
Meanwhile, possessing a faulty BRCA2 gene increases Aaron’s chance of developing cancer, but it does not guarantee anything. Nonetheless, this will mark a fresh dimension of Aaron’s character. Miller is still uncertain about the upcoming Emmerdale storyline, but he acknowledged the chances of confronting these challenges in the future.
Additionally, Danny highlighted the significance of portraying the ‘male breast cancer’ plot in raising awareness among viewers. He concluded his words by saying, “I’d be interested in playing that story, and hopefully, he gets over it.” For more Emmerdale updates, stay tuned to TV Season & Spoilers!
