The TLC star was only 13 years old when her parents allegedly murdered her older sister, Alexandra, during their orthodox Christmas celebration. Olga’s mom, Elena Antonova, was a school teacher, while her dad, Sergei Koshimbetov, was a taxi driver. Recently, Olga confirmed the incident to spread awareness about mental health in a new social media update.
She said, “In 2011, my sister died because of my parents, and they went to the mental hospital.” without going into detail. Olga explained that her mom had poor mental health, and nobody had any idea about it. She informed her followers about moving to Russia from Kyrgyzstan in 2010 and trailed off before sharing the full story. Moreover, the 90 Day Fiance star talked about living in a shelter for six months till her aunt completed the paperwork.
Olga also talked about the traumatic experience she had and sleeping troubles. Further, she added, “I know if they were mentally healthy, it would never happen because they love us.” She ended her story with the hope that people would understand the importance of paying attention to mental health.
