EastEnders: “Kim Is Going to Enjoy Herself!” – Empson
The path to saying yes to the job offer for Kim had been very rocky. First, Kim was worried for her poor sister Denise, who’s been paranoid since Christmas, and we know why! On the other hand, Kim had to leave Denzel behind, though he assured Kim that he would be alright. Finally, Kim and Howie packed their bags and headed off to work on the cruise on EastEnders. Actress Empson is so sure her character will enjoy her time away from the Square!
Tameka recently appeared on The One Show, where she shed light on Kim’s journey. She said that Kim was going to be okay! And “She’s going on a nice cruise with Howie and the children. She’s going to be enjoying herself.” Moreover, the star mentioned that “the Kimfluencer is very alive” and thriving in her temporary gig. The Kim actress will reprise her role on EastEnders after a short break. The exact date of her return are still up in the air.
Empson Shifts Gears Between Acting and Writing!
During her break, Tameka is diving into a stage production of the musical The Big Life at Theater Royal Stratford East. The musical is celebrating its 20th anniversary since its first premiere. On top of her acting role, Empson is also flexing her writing skills on the project. She is playing Mrs Aphrodite and also co-wrote the historical musical.
The story revolved around four West Indies men looking for a better life in the UK. However, they encounter unexpected challenges upon meeting a spirited group of women. The EastEnders actress revealed her passion for the show. “It is such a great musical, and I really urge everybody to go and see it,” she said. Tameka pointed out that “the musical is not only about the Windrush generation but immigration throughout.” While Empson enjoys her time performing the musical, we can’t wait for updates on Kim and Howie’s adventures on the cruise.
