Laurens Confronts Linda
Linda Carter has always kept the secret of Annie’s father close to her chest. She had raised Annie as Mick’s daughter. However, we all know that Annie’s biological father is actually Max Branning. Knowing the repercussions damn well, Linda has chosen to keep Max in the dark. In 2020, Max and Linda engaged in an affair and wanted to move away together. Before they could do that, Linda realised that she still loved Mick. Max tried his best to win Linda back but to no avail. It led heartbroken Max to leave Walford for good. At the time, he knew nothing about Linda’s pregnancy. But Lauren’s comeback might just be the tip of the iceberg!
Recently, Lauren returned to the town and was rattled when she learned about her sister, Annie on EastEnders. Whitney also knew about the secret and held onto it, but Sonia couldn’t. Sonia Fowler spilled the beans to Lauren about Annie being her sister. Soon, Lauren confronted Linda, and the latter had to explain everything. Fortunately, Lauren could understand her perspective and vowed to safeguard the secret. She promised that she wouldn’t tell Max unless he inquired directly. Will Lauren stick to her promise?
Will It Set the Stage For Max’s Return On EastEnders?
Linda is finding it hard to come to terms with the reality following the events of the Christmas Day murder. The Six hasn’t told anyone about the killing yet. Hence, it is tough for Lauren to make sense of Linda’s hysteria. Moreover, Linda has been drowning her sorrows in a bottle that only raises the flag for her.
Furthermore, Max has been referenced a lot in the past few episodes. Will it indicate Max’s return? The fans would love to have Max back on the soap, but it would spell serious trouble for Linda. We might see Linda and him locking horns for Annie’s custody. It can all be avoided if Lauren chooses to show some mercy on Linda and decides that Annie may be better off with her Mick.
