Emmerdale former Georgina Hale, the versatile stage and screen actress, left the world at the age of 80. On January 4, Georgina took her last breath. The actress was widely popular for her characters in ITV soaps Emmerdale and Hollyoaks. Along with soaps, the actress made quite a name for herself in the theatre world. She made appearance on stage shows like One Foot In The Grave and Doctor Who.
The Emmerdale legend dedicated her whole life to the entertainment industry. She started off her career in 1971 with a historical drama, “Eagle In A Cage,” sharing the stage with Kenneth Haigh and Napoleon Bonaparte. She made her final appearance in Holby City in 2016. When it comes to Emmerdale, the actress featured in four episodes in the year 2006.
Along with her portrayal of Beryl Chugspoke in Emmerdale, she also played the role of Blanche Longford on Hollyoaks. The soap actress received the Bafta award in 1974 and was among the nominees for a Laurence Olivier Award for the original London production of Steaming.
