Trevor Michael, the Coronation Street star who portrays the character of Ed Bailey recently revealed details about the continuing gambling storyline. Recently, Ed has slipped into his gambling addiction and considered identity fraud after receiving a credit card mailed to the deceased Norris Cole. He is set to hit rock bottom next month. Georges shared his character’s gambling past and how Ed’s addiction still affects the Bailey family. He said, “Ed brought his whole family into crisis and almost lost everything due to his gambling addiction.”
He revealed that when Bailey family moved to the Corrie, they took everything they owned, and the furniture barely fits in their new house owing to the size disparity. This always reminds Ed of his past. The Coronation Street star believes that Ed’s anguish in going back into gambling because he felt he had overcome it. The discovery of Ed’s winnings in his work bag last month led to his son Michael Bailey being wrongfully accused of fraud.
