TV Season & Spoilers has previously reported that actress Jacqueline Jossa is all set to reprise Lauren Branning on EastEnders. She, as well as, soap boss Chris Clenshaw mentioned in several media interactions that Lauren’s return to the square will be explosive. Moreover, owing to the many connections she has in town, her stay henceforth will be rather dramatic. Now, heartbeats ahead of her return to the fold, some first-look pictures have surfaced on the return. And they are every bit as dramatic as promised!
The first look pictures feature Lauren Branning in handcuffs for her EastEnders return. The first look shows her returning to the country alongside Jack Branning’s daughter, Penny. Which is quite interesting because even she is returning to the soap after a huge gap. Fifteen years to be precise. Penny then looks on surprised at her cousin, as the security searches Lauren’s bags at the airport. A sniffer dog catches on to something significant which leads the police to slap the cuffs on Lauren’s wrists.
She tries her best to explain the situation to the police on EastEnders, but to no avail. However, she looks like she is ready for a fight and a lot of noise. Thus, fans can rest assured that her return certainly will be explosive and dramatic. However, we wonder what the police could have found in her bags – drugs, perhaps? And why are Lauren and Penny traveling together? When and where did the cousin’s reunite? Aaah, that really does smell like a lot of drama.
Some EastEnders spoilers have also revealed that Jack Branning will have a hard time reconnecting with his daughter. Penny will prove herself to be a difficult person. Considering that the Branning Family has historically been the center of a lot of drama in the square, only makes the pot more sweeter. It looks like the old days are making a return to the BBC One soap. Are you excited for the Branning girls to be back on the screen? Tell us in the comments. Meanwhile, stay tuned to TV Season & Spoilers for more EastEnders updates on the upcoming twits and turns.
