Long-time viewers of BBC’s EastEnders would remember the thrilling storyline that centered around the murder of Lucy Baele. This thrilling storyline lasted on the canvas till February 2015, which also marked the soap’s 30th anniversary. The storyline culminated with the sentencing of Lucy’s younger brother, Bobby. After months of “whodunnit” suspense, it was revealed that Bobby was the actual murderer. Lucy’s death and the subsequent revelation of the murderer truly made those months the darkest times for the Baele family.
After the gruesome on-screen murder of her character on EastEnders’, Hetti left the soap for good. She had previously taken over the role from actress Melissa Suffield and remained on the soap for two years. Recently, the young star was spotted sipping some afternoon drinks with her friends in Notting Hill, London. Hetti appeared to be in the best of spirits as she raised a vine glass for a toast. The EastEnders alum looked stunning dressed in a black tank top, with her hair pulled back in a side braid. However, as the afternoon progressed, Hetti let her hair down and smiled for the cameras.
Hetti Bywater As Lucy On EastEnders
Interestingly, Lucy Baele was played by four different actresses over the years on EastEnders. However, Hetti Bywater remains the last one to play the role and also to take the character to its conclusion. Post Lucy’s death, Bobby was convicted for her murder and served time in prison. Although he has been released since and has been trying to make amends for all the wrong, he has done in life previously. After moving on from her role as Lucy, Hetti has appeared in some other projects, including Death in Paradise and Delicious.
Despite her other appearances, it seems that her EastEnders role of Lucy has left the most lasting impact on the viewers. Both good and bad. While some viewers liked Lucy as a character, there are several viewers who aren’t Lucy fans! In September 2020, some internet users tried to troll Hetti by saying they hated her character Lucy. The young star kept her cool and calmly responded that she hated her too! Now, that’s a smart way of shutting down internet trolls! Although Hetti is not a part of EastEnders anymore, we wish to see her return to the soapverse in another capacity soon enough!
