It has been a while since we saw the dreaded serial killer, Gray Atkins, on EastEnders. The last we heard of the criminal was when he was incarcerated for the multiple murders he committed. Ever since then, there has been no talk or show of the villain. However, the latest episode of EastEnders has aired an update about him. To find out more about it, keep reading TV Season & Spoilers.
Mitch Baker Brings Word From The EastEnders Villain, Gray Atkins
In the June 13, 2023, episode, Mitch met with Bernie Taylor and Chelsea Fox to tell them that Gray has requested for a meeting with his children on EastEnders. Aghast by the idea of letting their children anywhere near the murderous psychopath, Taylor and Chelsea swiftly declined the request. Their reaction and decision to keep the kids, Mack, Mia and baby Jordan, is completely understandable. After all, he is behind bars for a reason! The man is guilty for the gruesome murder of his wife, Chantelle Atkins.
In fact, that is not the only murder he is guilty of on EastEnders. Gray Atkins even murdered Tina Carter and then, Kush Kazemi to cover up the crime he committed by killing his wife. Moreover, not only has he cost multiple people their lives, he is even guilty of causing extended psychological and emotional abuse to his wife. And that cannot be marginalized as a crime by any means. Thankfully, the police eventually managed to nab him and bring him to justice.
During the time Gray’s exit storyline was rolling on EastEnders, actor Toby-Alexander Smith had spoken about the end Gray met on the soap. Toby asserted that bringing Gray to justice was the absolutely right thing to do. Furthermore, he added that the audience had been waiting to get justice for the fates Chantelle, Tina, and Kush suffered. So it was important for the show to reach this conclusion with the storyline. “There was no room for him to have an easy way out, and it would have been wrong if they’d have done that,” he concluded. Well, keeping these sentiments in mind, it will be interesting to see if Gray ever gets to see the day of light outside of the prison again on EastEnders.
