The Young and The Restless is celebrating its glorious 50-year run on CBS! As part of the celebrations, many iconic characters from the past appeared on the screen! One by One, the entire Romalotti family visited their roots in Genoa City. It started with Daniel coming into town, then his dad, rockstar Danny, followed in to celebrate Christmas with his son. The latest members of the family to visit Daniel are his estranged wife and daughter, Heather, and Lucy! For a long while now, Heather and Lucy had been living in Portugal, away from Daniel.
But now that Heather is back, her portrayer, Vail Bloom, opened up about her latest stint on the soap. In a recent chat with Soap Opera Digest, the actress shared that she is ecstatic to be back on the famous sudser. She exuded that right before she received the offer to return to her role of Heather that she portrayed from 2007-2010, she kept seeing signs from the universe. Vail shared that she bumped into actress Michelle Stafford (Phyllis) by the tonic bar in the middle of Erehwon town. They met after a long time and had a great time talking to each other.
Vail Bloom Would Love To Stay Longer On The Young And The Restless
Furthermore, the actress divulged that she kept running into actress Jennifer Gareis, who plays Donna on The Bold and The Beautiful. The sister soap shoots across the hall from The Young and The Restless. So when the offer came to return to Y&R, Vail felt like she was already “primed and ready” for it. She shared that it didn’t take her too long to answer in an affirmative. The soap is celebrating its 50th anniversary, and it felt like an honor for the actress to return to the soap. She shared that she had been busy with writing, directing, and starting a production company of her own. But she missed being a part of TV and Film stories.
Thus, it was a no-brainer, and she just had to say yes to return to The Young and The Restless. Talking about her current story, she pointed out that it’s wonderful and empowering that Heather stepped up to be Lucy’s mom when Daniel destroyed his relationships. Heather and Lucy are not biologically related, but they love and respect each other a lot. Furthermore, Vail shared that she loves working with actress Lily Brooks O’Briant (Lucy). “She is such a doll,” says Vail. Further adding that they showed up on the set wearing the exact nail polish color and bonded over it. Moreover, she praised the young star for being well-mannered, talented, and professional.
Vail Bloom feels that returning to The Young and The Restless was so easy. It didn’t feel like so much time had passed. It was wonderful to meet all her co-stars, Michelle, Peter Bergman, and Michael Graziadei. The actress voiced that if the makers offered her a longer stay as Heather on the soap, she would “absolutely entertain the idea of coming back.” Well, we hope that somehow comes out to be true! We would love to see more of Heather and Lucy together and how they navigate their relationship with Daniel on the soap. Would you enjoy that too? Tell us in the comments! Meanwhile, stay tuned to CBS to continue following Vail’s journey as Heather on The Young and The Restless.
