The rollercoaster ride of General Hospital is about to get a tad more intense! The ABC soap is heading towards a thrilling courtroom drama. Spencer Cassadine will stand against his father, Nikolas, to fight for the newborn Cassadine’s custody. While audiences have seen Spencer being more upstanding than his father, convincing the judge of the same might be a challenge! He has walked on the other side of the law a couple of times, and his prison stint will not really work in his favor, either. Then what can Spencer do to make his case better than Nik? We might have the answer! Find it below!
The Battle Of The Guardians
We know that Esme Price and Nikolas Cassadine are the biological parents of Esme’s baby on General Hospital. However, how will a soap opera be a soap opera if it doesn’t complicate matters? However, this time around, the complication is not entirely uncalled for! Esme is as unstable and psychotic as one could get! Meanwhile, Nik hasn’t proven himself to be an ideal father, or ideal anything for that matter, either. Thus, it really does make a lot of sense that Spencer wants custody of the baby. He clearly is the lesser evil amongst them all. Besides, he is probably the only Cassadine who intends no real harm to anyone!
If the baby has any chance of having a normal upbringing on General Hospital, it’s with Spencer. But will the judge and jury be able to see that? It won’t be easy to fight against the baby’s bio parents. However, Nik can soon be out of the running! He is guilty of kidnapping and holding Esme hostage. So that could either land him in prison or on the run! So, eventually, the final battle will ensue between Esme and Spencer. And as the baby’s bio mother, Esme’s claim for custody is much stronger than Spencer’s. Although, if Spencer can prove Esme is an unfit mother and prove that he can provide the baby with a better environment to bloom, he will stand a better chance in court.
Spencer And Trina Marry To Give Baby Cassadine The Perfect Family On General Hospital?
Okay, so let’s be honest here for a second! Esme has had a very, very sketchy past at General Hospital. It won’t take a lot to prove to the court that Esme really isn’t fit to raise a baby. The real challenge for Spencer will be to prove that he can give his little brother/sister a viable home. Recently, we saw him speak with a real estate agent to score a good house. However, a house does not translate to the home. The house can only become a home when there is a viable family environment. And that’s exactly what Spencer needs to show the court if wants to win the custody battle.
Perhaps Spencer will borrow a page from Michael Corinthos and Willow Tait’s playbook on General Hospital. Viewers might remember Michael and Willow took the marital vows just so Michael would have a better day in court against Nelle. So who will be Spencer’s Willow in court? Okay, no points for guessing; it is Trina Robinson! Spencer has feelings for Trina, so he will certainly approach her with his request. Now, Trina too feels an electric pull towards Spencer, but will that be enough for Trina to commit to raising ESME’S baby? We all know the history between Trina and Esme!
However, General Hospital spoilers have teased that Trina will soon be seething over Portia for keeping her paternity a secret. So she might agree with Spencer’s plan on a whim, just to hurt her mother! Portia has never been okay with Trina getting close to him. Imagine the look on her face when Trina tells her she is marrying Spencer Cassadine! We are quite excited to see how Spencer and Trina will tread married life and a baby! Stay tuned to General Hospital to watch it all go down in the upcoming episodes.
