Kody Brown has ultimately destroyed most of his relationship during Season 16 of Sister Wives. He has neither a strong bond with the wives nor with the kids. Christine Brown publicly admits that Ysabel has issues with her father in the Tell-All episode. That’s because Kody refused to attend Ysabel’s scoliosis surgery. Christine Brown admitted that she had a tough conversation with her daughter about the father’s actions. The third wife told the host that Ysabel was hurt when Kody didn’t attend her surgery.
Meanwhile, Kody Brown had to attend Robyn’s son’s cosmetic surgery. Hence, all these incidents lead to havoc in the Brown family’s dynamics. Therefore, Ysabel started to question why her father couldn’t visit her. Moreover, when Ysabel wanted to meet her other siblings, Kody and Robyn denied it. They said because of the pandemic, Ysabel can’t meet the other family members for then. However, Robyn and Kody allowed the nanny to come over to their house. Hence, Ysabel questioned what the nanny had done to welcome them into the house.
Further, Christine questioned the same from Robyn & Kody. The family head explained this question in the Tell-All episode. He said that young and tender kids need parents’ protection. However, the adult and the elder kids can take care of their own.

There are multiple reasons why Ysabel could be jealous of Robyn’s nanny. However, to her, jealousy isn’t the main issue. The main issue here is that Kody doesn’t spend time with his other children. More so, it’s clear that Kody prioritizes Robyn and her kids. Hence, the fans are furious at Kody’s actions. Ysabel has longed for fatherly affection from Kody. However, he wasn’t when she needed her father to be there for her. Instead, Kody and Robyn enjoyed an 11-day honeymoon. Shortly after that, the fans called Kody and Robyn a hypocrite.
Eventually, the Sister Wives audience felt Kody should have attended the surgery. More so, Christine confessed that Ysabel wanted her father to be there.
